PROJECT TRACTION PRODUCER
SHE/HER
Emerging from her basement bedroom in 2020, Miranda Fling writes music that invites the listener to her internal world. Through raw lyrics and honest storytelling, Miranda uses songwriting to put words to everyday experiences and feelings. Inspired by artists like Gracie Abrams, Lizzy McAlpine, and Samia, Miranda’s indie pop ballads blend pop production elements with narrative based lyrics. After releasing her first self-produced EP, ‘Wishful Thinking,’
in 2021, Miranda was met with opportunities to open locally for several touring acts including The Greeting Committee, Arcy Drive, The Wallflowers, and more. As a writer, Miranda has collaborated on songs within a variety of genres including pop, hiphop, folk, and rock. Her collaborations have been featured in advertisements for Google, Best Buy, Olipop, and more. Miranda’s most recent EP, ‘The Suburbs’ has accumulated over 2 million streams worldwide and continues to make an impression on the underground indie scene.
“I wanted to participate in Project Traction to gain more experience producing at a higher level. Project Traction gave me the opportunity to explore all of the different hats that producers can wear; it doesn’t always mean writing parts and engineering the track. It was valuable for me to see what production means in a more professional and less DIY setting.”
